Can we stay at home today?

Outside it’s looking cold and grey

I can’t think of much to do

Except stay in bed all day with you

Do you really need to go?

Your work on Monday’s rough I know

I’ll bring breakfast in for you

And keep the coffees coming too

Life is so short that’s why I say

Why waste it all working away 

The blankets warm and the world can wait

Why can’t we stay at home today

Who says we have to put on clothes?

Let’s just keep the curtains closed

I won’t tell if you don’t too

Let’s just say we caught the flu

Who knows all the things we’ll do?

Play board games just made for two

Movie in bed all bundled up 

Then fall asleep inside my arms
